Make your event truly memorable with a flying display!
Anglia Flight is able to offer fully authorised pilots and aircraft to perform at any type of event you choose; from a garden party to a full airshow. In the past we have provided displays for weddings, village fetes, private family get-togethers and even funerals.
Our
display aircraft are available all year round, 7 days a week.
Ideally, four weeks notice is required and all displays
are
subject to
weather conditions, aircraft serviceability. A
Civil Aviation Authority Display Permission may also be required, but
Anglia Flight are more than happy to handle all these
arrangements on your behalf.
For
the 2010 season Anglia Flight is offering the three Cessna’s, a FW190
replica and hopefully the Broussard later in the season. We can also
arrange for displays by a Fairchild Cornell, Pitts Special and a
Spitfire.
FW
190 replica
The first W.A.R. FW 190 replica was built in 1976, they are approximately 60% scale replica's. Our example was built in America in 1977 and was subsequently imported into the UK in 1990. The current owners acquired it in 2000 and flew it for only a few hours before grounding it for a complete rebuild. This took considerably longer than thought to to a myriad of problems discovered during the overhaul. Examples being magnetos that had passed their overhaul date by 12 years and a misaligned undercarriage that caused severe ground handling problems. It was test flown by Nigel Willson on 13th April 2010. It currently carries the markings of JGr 10 based at Parchim, Germany in the summer of 1944. Jgr 10 was an experimental testing unit of specialised anti-bomber weapons, distinguished from other units by the red and yellow snake marking that was carried full length on the fuselage sides of their aircraft.
Max Holste Broussard MH-1521M
Built in 1956 with the serial number 19, The Broussard had its first flight on 19th December. It was delivered to ELA 56 on the 14th January. ELA 56 was a very secretive special forces unit. After service with this unit it spent over three years in Algeria and served operationally with ELO3/45 in the casevac, transport and counter insurgency role. In fact when it was delivered for rebuild it still had the machine gun mounts fitted. After retirement from the French military it was used for skydiving from Lille before storage and subsequent restoration by a French museum in La Baulle. Imported into the UK in the late 90s it was stored until acquisition by the current owners in 2008 when restoration commenced. When completed, hopefully during 2010, it will be presented as a Portuguese Air Force example.
